Biogas is a fuel obtained by the degradation of organic matter (food, animals or production processes).
In the sugar-energy sector there are some sources for the production of biogas, such as vinasse and filter cake, an effluent and a by-product, respectively, from the production of sugar and alcohol
These materials have proven importance in the generation of biogas, allowing sugarcane plants to increase the potential for generating electricity with the same planted area, optimize the use of these products, improve the performance in fertigation and seek new levels of sustainability and circular economy.
Furthermore, through a new approach and a treatment of biogas to obtain biomethane, it can be used in fuel cells as a very promising and efficient option for the production of energy from renewable sources.
In this chat we will receive:
Leonardo Rey, Technical Consultant at CH4 Smart Solutions, working for over 10 years with solutions for the Sugar-Energy Sector, focused on the production of Biogas, Biomethane and Bioenergy from Vinhaça. Doctoral candidate in the Bioenergy program at USP, UNESP and UNICAMP, Master in Materials Technology from UNICAMP, with a focus on Applied Nanotechnology.
Graduated in Environmental Sanitation by UNICAMP.
Rovani Cantarelli , Construction Manager at Grupo Capitale Energia | ZEG, a civil engineer, works with management and coordination of works for the implementation of biogas plants for electricity generation and biomethane production.
Octavio Antonio Valsechi (Vico), coordinator of the MTA (Master of Technology Administration) in Sugar-Energy Industrial Management , Agricultural Engineer, Master in Food Science and Technology and Doctor in Biological Sciences in the concentration area in Applied Microbiology, Associate Professor in the Department of Technology Agroindustrial and Rural Economy Partner at the Center for Agricultural Sciences at UFSCar and consultant at the UN for the sugar-energy chain.
This event is a partnership between Bio Energy Hub and Portal Energia e Biogás
